Cassandra Copeland has been working in the world of childcare since 1990. Five years later she began as Assistant Director at the First Church Early Learning Center. Cassandra served in that position until 2007 at which point she resigned to help begin a childcare program at her local church. In 2013 she returned to the First Church ELC and became our Executive Director in 2020. Cassandra is also an Assistant Pastor at her local church, New Beginning Christian Center. In 1993 she married Anthony Copeland, a roofing and repair contractor for their business C & A Improvement for Better Living, LLC. They have 2 children, Nikole, who attends Troy University, and Brandan, who attends Miles College. Nikole and Brandan were both students at the First Church ELC! When not working Cassandra enjoys spending time with her family, reading, going on long drives, writing, and being by the lake. As an Alabama graduate she cheers for the Tide, as long as they aren’t playing Auburn! Cassandra enjoys vacationing at the beautiful beaches in Florida. Her favorite part of First Church is the message of love.
