Interested in learning more about membership and engagement at First Church?

At First Church we want everyone to engage fully in this community of love and belonging. We offer two opportunities for guests to join us to learn more about First Church as well as discover opportunities for engagement.

Getting to Know Us Dinner

Three times a year we host Getting to Know Us Dinners for guests and new members. These meals offer an opportunity to enjoy good food and conversation around the table with the First Church Staff and members of the Dinner Team. After our meal, we share the answers to the following two questions: what brought you to First Church and what keeps you coming back. We look forward to having you join us for our next dinner.

First Church 101

First Church 101 takes place two to three times a year in the spring and fall. This session is geared toward our guests, new members, and those considering membership but open to anyone who wants to learn more. First Church 101 will introduce you to the theology, polity, and Social Principles of the United Methodist Church as well as share more about the priorities and opportunities for engagement and membership at First Church.

Beyond these opportunities, we hope you will consider participating in small groups, finding life-giving places to serve, giving generously, inviting others to join you, and attending our annual church-wide retreat.
